In this special workshop designed for division, round table, and chapter leaders, ALA Parliamentarian Eli Mina will discuss the core principles of debate and decision making. These tools will help leaders make meetings well focused, well-paced, and equally inclusive. They will also offer tips on how to address tough situations and controversies during meetings. Eli will demystify key issues with rules of order, and help you use them sensibly and intelligently. Each participant will receive copies of his books “101 Boardroom Problems and How to Solve Them” and “Mina’s Guide to Minute Taking”. Training will take place during the ALA 2016 Midwinter Meeting in Boston, MA on Friday, January 8, 2016, 1 - 2:30 p.m. There is no fee to attend the workshop but pre-registration is required. Space is limited. Registration closes on November 15, 2015.
