The Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission is delighted to announce the launch of the second year of our bursary scheme for prospective students of the Professional Diploma in Human Rights and Equality at the Institute of Public Administration.

The application process is open from 9th May to 30th June 2017.

The student bursary scheme will support applications from a wide variety of organisations and individuals working in public sector bodies and civil society organisations.There are 10 bursary places available and 40% of those have been reserved for people working in civil society organisations.

Bursary places  are open to people working at all grades and functions.The bursary scheme will cover all course fees for successful applicants.

  • You can revisit your incomplete application on the same desktop/device from which you originally accessed the application link.
  • IHREC will confirm receipt of all completed applications by email.
    About the application form:

Section 1: Candidates are asked for their contact and employment details.

Section 2: Candidate are asked to confirm a nomination by their employer.

Section 3: Candidates are asked to provide information for the following 3 questions:
  • What is your main reason for applying for the diploma?  (25 marks available)
  • Give examples of the relevance of human rights or equality related issues to your organisation’s work. (25 marks available)
  • How do you expect that your organisation will use the learning from the diploma?  (50 marks available)
