Latinx Youth Conference Presenter Opportunities

Thank you for your interest to present at this year's Latinx Youth Conference. We need 25 presenters that can have their workshop twice during the day (the length of the workshop will be 45-50 minutes). Below are the available topics for the workshops. Please choose the one you would like to present and provide some brief details about the content you will be sharing. Our committee will review all the proposals submitted and get back to all those who submitted no later than Friday, January 7.

College Opportunities While Still in High School! - This will be a fun and energetic session designed for students to begin to learn about and recognized their personality strengths and how these strengths can be correlated and connected to different academic and career goals. Once students learn about various professions by interactive means, we will explain the various ways they can earn college credit while still in high school, including Dual Enrollment, Middle College and AP Courses.

Banking for Today and Tomorrow - Giving practical tips for developing good savings habits and credit awareness. Bank account Management skills. Overall, banking industry updates with a focus in careers they might not know exist in banking (marketing, social media & graphic design, IT, etc.)

Health and wellness - Meditation and mindfulness, health education and physical activity.

Job training - Pathway to a rewarding career in the skilled trades in a relatively short amount of time. Programs include: GRCC and KCTC

Latinidad - Diversity among the Latino communities and the value of our language and culture. Why is representation important.

Life After Highschool - Explore the importance of higher education using statistics, and how to prepare for college.
