ASIC is currently consulting on its proposal to repeal and replace the ASIC class orders for Foreign Financial Services Provider with a modified licensing regime. We are aware that many AIMA members are relying on the relief.

AIMA will be making a submission and for this purpose it will be very helpful if those relying on the relief could complete this survey. ASIC is keen to understand the services that are being provided by foreign financial service providers.

We are seeking this information to make a submission that offshore managers marketing to Australian institutional investors should continue to have the benefit of some licensing relief.
