Microbiology Laboratory Gap Assessment (Chinese version) |
Participant Information Sheet (参与者信息说明书)
Dear participant,
Thank you for your interest in our study, entitled “Strengthening Diagnostics for sEvere bacTErial infeCTions in Asia (DETECT-Asia): Assessing gaps and barriers on current diagnostic capacity of clinical microbiology laboratories” (NUS-IRB-2025-867).
This survey is targeted at microbiology laboratories and is preferably completed by laboratory managers, senior laboratory staff, who are most knowledgeable about the laboratory workflows, capacities, and diagnostic processes.
To ensure consistency and avoid duplicate responses, we kindly request that only one participant per laboratory/institution complete this survey on behalf of their team, preferably someone in a managerial or senior position.
This survey aims to assess the key gaps and barriers to improving diagnostic capacities in clinical microbiology laboratories in Asia and globally.
It consists primarily of multiple-choice questions, where you may be asked to select a single response, choose all applicable options, or rank items based on importance. We kindly ask that you answer all questions to the best of your ability and avoid leaving any items blank.
Please note that your participation is entirely voluntary, and you may choose to stop at any time. The survey is anonymous, and no identifiable information will be collected.
If you have any questions regarding the research, please contact Dr. Alec Aligui at alec.aligui@u.nus.edu.
For an independent opinion specifically regarding the rights and welfare of research participants, you may contact a staff member of the National University of Singapore Institutional Review Board at telephone (+65) 6516 1234 [Mondays to Thursdays from 8.30am to 6pm, and Fridays from 8.30am to 5.30pm, except public holidays] or email at irb@nus.edu.sg.
