The Hotline and Caminar Latino are conducting a survey to learn about survivor experiences with child protective services (CPS) and the child welfare system.

Through this survey, we aim to learn more about how involvement with CPS impacts survivors’ safety, help-seeking, housing, employment, parenting, and access to support. The information gained through this survey will inform the development of policies, training, and survivor-centered practices to improve child welfare responses to domestic violence, reduce barriers to help-seeking, and increase safety and stability for survivors and their children.

The survey is completely anonymous. Your name and other identifying information will not be linked to anything you share. There are no major risks to participating; however, it is possible to experience discomfort answering questions related to firearms and abuse. To access support or referrals through the National Domestic Violence Hotline, call 1-800-799-SAFE or text “START” to 88788. If you are currently experiencing violence or are worried about your safety, please visit the Get Help section. We estimate this survey will take around 13 minutes to complete. You can choose to not participate in the survey.
