2024 Fire Camp Questionnaire!!

Welcome to Station 3 (aka Fire Camp) sign up!

While we aim to accommodate all you lovely folks, we do have space limitations. This year we will have room for about 150 campers, 125 on meal plan. Priority will be given to (in order-ish); those signed up for shifts with Fire team, those who have been participating in camp long term or are vital to its operation, and all other ESD branch workers. If you are bringing a plus one, be sure to fill in all of their information on the survey. Registration for camp begins on May 1 and will be open until May 15. Acceptance to camp emails will go out on June 1.

DO NOT APPLY TO MORE THAN ONE CAMP. If you sign up on time, you will most likely be accepted into your camp of choice. If you sign up for more than one camp, you take away a space from someone else in ESD and make a minor headache for those of us cross referencing camp sign ups and trying to fit everyone in. If you are found to be in more than one camp, you will be booted from station 3’s roster. Understood?

Camp fees this year will be $300 (camp + meals), collected between June 1-July 1. If you do not want to be on meal plan your camp fee will be $100. If you have not paid by July 1, your spot will be given to the next in line. These are in no way related to your ESD work, but are paying for your camp membership. Camp fees provide support for infrastructure, food, coffee, shower, and other amenities and comforts of life in camp (it’s a screamin’ deal!).

Joining Camp means that you are joining a community, separate from your ESD work. Being part of camp is a privilege and to make it run smoothly everyone needs to participate! There are lots of opportunities to help and it is expected that every camp member pitches in at least 5 hours of your time to support camp (not related to your ESD time). This can be pre-playa, set-up, during the event, breakdown, or post event. We especially need help in camp towards the end of the week during the event and during break down (this is so important! If you can stay an extra day or two to help break down, it’s really appreciated!). Lack of participation in camp will affect your invitation to camp in the future.
