Survey of State Needs - Waterway Management Task Force

The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) is surveying states to identify critical multiple-use waterway management issues and needs. Based on this survey, recommendations will be made for potential committee or task force work to improve understanding of and accessibility to tools needed to implement sound management processes on shared recreational waters.
When completing this survey, please consider this definition of Waterway Management as adopted by the 2006 NASBLA Waterway Management Committee:

Waterway Management: The integrated use of education, technical assistance, regulation, enforcement, and other policies and programs to govern the waters of the state for navigation, public safety and access in ways that reduce conflicts, enhance the experience for waterway and shoreline users, and minimize risk to natural resources.
