You are invited to take part in an academic research survey conducted by Zhala Huseynova, a Graduate Student at Sejong University, South Korea.
Background Information
A smart city is an urban area where technology and data collection help improve quality of life as well as the sustainability and efficiency of city operations. Smart city technologies used by local governments include information and communication technologies (ICT) and the Internet of Things (IoT).
This survey aims to examine how international travelers use ChatGPT for travel planning, which includes itinerary creation, booking arrangements, and travel-related information gathering in the context of the world’s top smart tourism cities (e.g., Seoul, Singapore, Zurich, Amsterdam, Dubai, etc.). It examines key factors influencing travelers’ satisfaction, word of mouth and adoption intentions.
Incentive
As a token of appreciation, participants will be entered into a raffle for 20 × $10 e-gift cards. Winners will be randomly selected after data collection and contacted via the email address provided at the end of the survey. The specific platform of the e-gift card may vary depending on purchase availability and regional payment restrictions. Nevertheless, all efforts will be made to provide an internationally accessible online gift card. Providing your email is completely optional and will be stored separately from survey responses to protect anonymity.
Your participation will help researchers and tourism professionals better understand how AI tools like ChatGPT enhance tourist engagement and technology adoption in smart tourism environments.
