What volunteer position(s) are you interested in?
(Required.)
Make-Up: Help "zombify" the participants of zombie walk! You'll be applying make-up to patrons. All materials are provided by Zombie Walk. Must be willing to commit to a minimum of a 2 hour shift the day of Zombie Walk. You will be able to walk in the parade.
Sales: Sell parade buttons and make-up passes at our registration tables. Must be willing to commit to a minimum of a 2 hour shift the day of Zombie Walk. You will be able to walk in the parade.
Sponsorship: Help make Zombie Walk a success and obtain sponsors for the event. More sponsors=less overhead and more money back to our charities each year. We will ask you to commit some time reaching out to local businesses to ask for sponsorships as well as prizes for our photo contest. Sponsorship materials are provided by Zombie Walk for you to hand out. You will be able to walk in the parade.
PR/Media: Help us get the word out about our event! We need a whole crew to hang up posters around town and to reach out to businesses to let them know that they are on the Zombie Walk route. Lists of places to hang posters will be available and Zombie Walk announcement letters will be provided to hand out to businesses on the route. You will be able to walk in the parade.
Barricades
(GREATEST NEED)
: Want a great spot to view the Zombie Walk parade? Help out with barricades! You will be positioned at a location along the route to move the road barricades into place and remove them once the parade goes by. While you wouldn't be able to walk in the parade, you'll have a prime location along the route to watch the horde go by!
Walkers: Be a part of the Zombie Walk parade and help keep the peace between the living and undead! Walkers will walk in the parade and help maintain safety during our event. You'll be keeping the Zombies from straying to feast on the parade viewers and keep wanna be Zombies from hopping into the parade. Dress up in your zombie best or wear your normal day-to-day. We ask that you are 18 years or older for this volunteer position.
Floats: Help our float entries line up, check registrations, and walk in the parade alongside the floats. Float helpers keep everyone on pace and safe along the route. You'll also help direct floats at the end of the parade in the destaging area. You would need to come early (2pm) to help line up floats and be willing to walk in the Zombie Walk parade.
Set-Up Crew: Putting Zombie Walk together is no small feat! We need volunteer to come early (10am) to help set up tables, banners, signs, supplies, etc. so we are ready to go at 12pm.
Trash Crew: We are looking for volunteers to help clean up after the Zombie Walk horde has passed by. Volunteers can walk in the parade and then retrace the parade route to help pick up any debris left by Zombies or the living. Trash crew would also remove "no parking" signs from meters along the route.
Tear-Down: What goes up, must come down! We need volunteers to help take-down Zombie Walk materials after the horde has left the building. This position would require your help during the parade itself and immediately after, so we are looking for helpers who do not plan to walk in the Zombie Walk parade.
