Dear Northeastern Faculty,
The realities of our current Covid situation has made it so that we cannot have any events on campus at this time. Instead, the Center for STEM Education is planning a new “Windows into Research” program this semester in which we virtually visit high school classrooms in Boston and surrounding communities to talk about research in college.

These visits will be a continuation of our Pathways to STEM program, which we held virtually afterschool for the past year, in which high school students viewed 15 minute presentations by faculty about their research and career paths, followed by direct discussion with students.

We anticipate virtually visiting high school classrooms in the Boston area. During these visits, which will be ~1 hour long (the length of a high school class), you’ll present your research/career/college paths (either via a pre-recorded presentation or live), and participate in a Q+A panel with the high school students. These visits will take place during the school day, rather than after school, between 9:00am and 2:30pm.
