TEACHER
registration to Work with Vulnerable People is required in order for a person to maintain the status of Registered Teacher or Limited Authority to Teach under the Teachers Registration Act 2000.  It is recommended that Teachers apply prior to 1 October 2016 to ensure Registration to Work with Vulnerable People details can be provided to the Teachers Registration Board in December 2016.  

CHILD EDUCATION SERVICES (Government)
registration is required for all school-based employees, volunteers, adult age students and others, such as contractors and external providers who work or operate in government schools

CHILD EDUCATION SERVICES (Non-Government)
registration is required for all school-based employees, volunteers, adult age students and others, such as contractors and external providers who work or operate in non-government schools

CHILD EDUCATION SERVICE (vocational education and training)
registration is required where vocational education and training is conducted specifically for, or provided only or mainly to children

ADOPTION SERVICE
registration is required for people providing an adoption service for a child under the Adoption Act 1988.

GUARDIANSHIP SERVICE
registration is required for any custodian to a non-citizen child under the Immigration (Guardianship of Children) Act 1946 of the Commonwealth.

CHILD PROTECTION SERVICE
registration is required where an activity is conducted specifically for, or a service is provided specifically to, a child or young person, under the Children and Young Person and Their Families Act 1997

CHILD ACCOMMODATION SERVICE
registration is required where residential or business accommodation services are conducted specifically for, or provided only or mainly to, children by persons who are not the parents, guardians, step-parents or adoptive parents of children.

CHILD TRANSPORT SERVICE (includes Taxi, bus, luxury hire or restricted hire vehicle)
registration is required for any person providing a service as follows:
- To test or assess the competence of an applicant to drive a motor vehicle in accordance with the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999; and
- A school-crossing patrol officer; and
- In accordance with an ancillary certificate as defined in the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999 (such as a Taxi, bus, luxury hire or restricted hire vehicle).

CHILD HEALTH PROGRAM AND CHILD HEALTH SERVICE
registration is required by people that work or volunteer in a child health program and child health services (which means a health program, and health service, conducted specifically for, or provided only or mainly to, children.
