Whakapiki Ake Whānau Hui ā Rohe is an information evening for rangatahi Māori Years 9-13 and their whānau. During our Whānau Hui ā Rohe sessions, we focus on the following:

Years 12 & 13: Strategic subject selection emphasising science requirements (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), understanding the crucial difference between UE requirements and program-specific requirements, early preparation for achieving necessary rank scores, detailed breakdown of program requirements and rank scores for specific pathways, MAPAS application process and MH04 form guidance & Support with halls of residence and university life preparation.

Years 9-11: Explore crucial NCEA choices that keep doors open for health careers at the University of Auckland. Current students share their stories, while our team provides practical guidance about University Entrance requirements and support available at the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences. We help whānau understand how they can support the academic journey of their rangatahi and their career aspirations.
