This is an anonymous survey designed to collect tips and anecdotes about managing your wellbeing through law school. We’ll be using these tips as part of our Wellbeing Week in 10-12 May, along with providing a number of events and resources designed to support students’ wellbeing at Law School. Each week, we'll choose the most apt and helpful tips and stories to feature on the Law School blog, with the contributors in the running to win Uni Sport vouchers and LTU hoodies. Prizewinners will be selected at the discretion of the Law School Wellbeing Coordinator based on originality, wit and helpfulness.
If “wellbeing at Law School” feels like a contradiction in terms, you are not alone. A 2010 study found that more than 35% of Australian law students experience high or very high levels of psychological distress (compared with 13% of their non-law-student peers). If you are having a rough time at the moment, please know that free counselling is available via the La Trobe Counselling Service, and that you can talk to your lecturers and/or tutors if this is affecting your work.
