In past years, a few 2G Tracy family members have contacted their siblings requesting donations for organizations they care about. These donations have been solicited for both operational support and specific projects.
The foundation believes this encourages collective impact and wants to encourage the growth of these opportunities for collaboration in the coming years. In fact, one of the Guiding Principles in the TFF 2019-2038 Long Range Plan says: Relative to the Tracy family, the Tracy Family Foundation will engage the family in philanthropic opportunities that have the potential to be collaborative and impactful. The 2019-2038 Plan calls for our "combining joint interest among family members for game changing impact."
Towards these ends, the foundation has created a process for family members to present organizations or projects they are passionate about to other family members. We believe that a clear process will encourage more family members to share their passions with other family members, increase collaborative opportunities throughout the Tracy family, and help us to live out our vision to see the ". . . Robert and Dorothy Tracy family giving and serving together."
Tracy family members should complete the below form when they have an organization or project they would like other family members to support with them. Once the form is submitted, foundation staff will vet the organization for consistency with TFF values, review the organization's financial and legal status, and then share the organization or cause with Tracy family members via email, the Tracy family Instagram feed, and/or Tracy family e-newsletter. When organizations or projects are shared with the family there is no expectation of giving, but we hope that consistent and clear communication of collaborative options will inspire collective impact.
