For parents who want to be involved in supporting their children's education, Caspar Creek Learning Community offers many opportunities, such as the monthly community board meetings. Parents can become part of the decision-making process, either as observers or as participants, and all parents/caregivers are welcome.
The board's current regular meeting time, the third Tuesday of each month at 6 PM, was chosen because at the time it was chosen it made meetings accessible for more people. However, we're aware there are also interested parties for whom daytime meetings would be more practical, and the proportions shift with each new school year.
In hopes of reducing barriers to participation, the board is exploring a change in meeting times, and has decided to survey parents and teachers to gauge the likely effect on monthly meeting attendance.
