Presentation Overview and Instructions
The FY25 MSHN Prevention Retreat, "A Night at the Oscars" will be May 5th & 6th at the Bavarian Inn, located in Frankenmuth, MI.
We are looking for three types of participation/presentations:
1. Breakout Sessions - 1 hour
2. Prev Talks (like a brief Ted Talk) - 5 minutes. These are a great way to share a quick skill, a new idea, something snazzy that you did, a story, a new collaboration, etc. Share your inspiration with the region - we want to hear from you!
3. Conference Exhibitors
Topics can include harm reduction strategies & community education/buy-in, youth engagement & leadership, how to start a youth group, strategies for community resistance, MiPHY data training, IC/RC exam prep, lobbying vs. advocacy, Diversity/Equity/ Inclusion, mental health-related topics, classroom management strategies, and supporting rural communities in prevention efforts. In addition to these topics, substance-specific presentations would be welcomed so if you have up-to-date information on alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, the committee would be interested in hearing about your presentation.
All proposals are welcome so if you have creative ideas, don't hold back.
