Dear Colleague,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your suggestions for the development of the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) 13th WFC Global Education Conference, which is taking place October 14–17, 2026 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The theme of the 2026 conference is: Lifelong Learning: Advancing Chiropractic Education for the Future.

In a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, chiropractic education must embrace innovation, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. This conference will bring together educators, researchers, administrators, and thought leaders from around the world to explore how we can foster and sustain lifelong learning in our students, our institutions, and our profession. The 2026 conference theme, “Lifelong Learning,” celebrates the curiosity and growth mindset that are at the core of effective teaching and professional excellence. As chiropractic educators, we understand that learning does not end at graduation; instead, it is an ongoing process that shapes the future of our graduates, institutions, and profession, as well as the communities we serve.

The World Federation of Chiropractic "Lifelong Learning: Advancing Chiropractic Education for the Future" will ask attendees to reimagine what it means to teach and to learn within a constantly evolving world. Together, we will explore how “Lifelong Learning” not only enriches the educational journey but also strengthens chiropractic’s role in the modern, evidence-informed healthcare environment.

Core 2026 conference themes:
  • Lifelong learning as a foundation for chiropractic’s future.
  • Integration of lifelong learning principles into curricula and clinical education.
  • Cultivation of reflective practice and professional adaptability, which are essential components of lifelong learning.
  • Leveraging technology and active learning tools to enhance engagement in lifelong learning.
  • Building institutional cultures that support mentorship, scholarship, and continuous improvement in lifelong learning.
Suggestions will be considered based on
  • Relevance to chiropractic education
  • Feasibility of implementation
  • Available time in the conference program
  • Relevance to the conference theme
Please note that not all excellent ideas can be included in the 2026 program and, therefore, will be kept on file for future educational conferences. If you have any questions, you may contact me directly at jmaltby@wfc.org.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to help shape the future of chiropractic education. We look forward to your input.

Best regards,
John Maltby, DC
WFC Secretary General (interim)
