LIVE MUSIC AND PERFORMANCE VENUE IMPACTS FROM COVID-19 AUSTRALIA
LIVE MUSIC AND PERFORMANCE VENUE IMPACTS FROM COVID-19 AUSTRALIA
The live music and performance sector have suffered immediate and direct negative impacts as a result of the Government’s necessary and important response to the COVID-19 crisis.
Many venues are now facing critical circumstances and need urgent assistance to survive the pandemic.
If your venue has had to either close or stop presenting live music and performance we want to hear from you.
This survey is to collect non-attributable aggregate data that is now much needed to document the widespread impacts being experienced by venues across Australia, and to also respond to and inform immediate support and future recovery initiatives. All data attributable to any individual venue will remain private and confidential.
The Live Music Office and the state and territory music industry organisations that make up the Australian Music Industry Network (AMIN) will use this data to enable the tiers of government to understand the impact of the virus on live music venues, and assist in ensuring government responses are targeted to support your most pressing needs.
The environment is changing quickly, so your quick response and guidance will greatly assist our industry through this crisis by responding to the support packages available. If there are gaps, we need to know soon.
If you can complete as a priority, our first aggregate report will be prepared after Friday April 10.
Your participation is greatly valued at this difficult time.
Support for health and well-being for the community and music industry is a foremost priority, with help at hand from these organisations.
