The Museo ng Kaalamáng Katutubò (MusKKat) is a foundation engaged in a museum development project. It has co-convened a conference on human movements with eminent archaeologists and anthropologists, mounted an internal exhibition, presented lectures, engaged in a community outreach project among an Aeta community in Pampanga, embarked on partnerships and memberships with national and international cultural and educational agencies and institutions, and is active on social media. MusKKat holds an ethnographic collection in reserve, following museum-standard acquisitions and conservation protocols, and undertakes research on objects in the collection, to learn more about, and share, kaalamán. MusKKat also endeavours to preserve inherited and transmitted ancestral knowledge and its many material manifestations through a publications program. Its first book was A Delicate Balance Batanes Food, Ecology and Community (2016).
