How can we help you Be Heard?

Kiind is establishing a reference group to work with us on our systemic advocacy strategy and help inform the actions and projects that will drive our systemic advocacy priorities in 2024.

We are recruiting parents and carers who have:
  • An interest in advocacy in the areas of disability, education, and early intervention
  • A desire to improve systems for families raising children and young people with disability
  • An ability to represent the views of families and carers with similar experiences
Systemic advocacy seeks to influence long-term changes to ensure the rights of people with disability are attained and upheld, and that people with disability are able to exercise their rights in their lives.

This can be achieved through changes in legislation, policy, and practices of service delivery; advocacy development; community education; community and advocacy sector development; and lobbying.

Kiind partners with our members (families and carers raising children with disability) to develop our systemic advocacy goals, strategies, and activities, and to ensure we are representing their views.

For more information, please see the Terms of Reference here.

To apply, please complete this Expression of Interest and submit by 5pm, Wednesday, 28 February 2024.

If you have any questions about this opportunity, please email Renée Darbyshir, Systemic Advocacy Lead Renee.Darbyshir@kiind.com.au
