INTRODUCTION

The Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society (RJOS) supports the growth and leadership of current and prospective women orthopaedic professionals through education, mentoring, research and outreach. NYU Langone Department of Orthopaedic Surgery supports this purpose as the exclusive contributor to the Marian Frauenthal Sloane Resident Scholarship.

PLEASE NOTE: Only RJOS Resident members in good standing, currently enrolled in a residency, may apply. New applications for resident membership must be received on or before Friday, January 7, 2022 to be eligible to receive the scholarship. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

2022 NYU Marion Frauenthal Sloane Resident Scholarship

*Applicant will be a RJOS Resident member in good standing currently enrolled in a residency program.
Recipient will attend the RJOS Annual Meeting/Business Meeting and have the opportunity to attend the ORS Annual Meeting.
*Recipient will be selected for the RJOS Ambassador Program after graduation from residency.
*Scholarship proceeds shall be used to cover registration and expenses to attend RJOS Annual Meeting and RJOS Professional Development Session listed in Scholarship Recipient Responsibilities below.

SCHOLRSHIP RECIPIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

*Scholarship recipient must attend the RJOS Annual Meeting and Business Meeting in Chicago, Illinois on Tuesday evening, March 22, 2022. 
*Scholarship recipient must attend the RJOS Professional Development Session in Chicago, Illinois on Wednesday morning March 23, 2022. 
*Scholarship recipient shall submit an article describing their experience for publication in the NYU Newsletter and the RJOS Newsletter.
*Scholarship recipient shall submit a Facebook posting for the NYU website and the RJOS website.
