Bikeway and Trail Map

(Please note, the included map is for a conceptual review only and the final will include additional information and a more refined look.)

We will be reprinting the Bikeway and Trails Map soon. This map shows existing on-street bikeways and off-street trails and is distributed in the Billings community to visitors and residents alike.

We are gathering feedback on the classification of different facilities on the map. Previous maps focused on direct routes without indicating which ones may be more comfortable for people who are less confident biking on busy streets. This reclassification aims to help users understand which routes would be most comfortable for them and is based on a bicycle level of traffic stress analysis.
1.Are the descriptions of the types of routes easy to understand?
2.If not, what is confusing about the descriptions?
3.Do you think the categories on the map (direct bike lane, comfortable bike lane, direct bike route, comfortable bike route, multi-use trail, neighborhood bikeway, primitative-not paved) would help you select a route that is best for you?
4.Please explain your answer to question #3.
5.Do you find the map useful?
6.Why or why not?
