WBEC FL Survey on Effects of 2024 Hurricanes

We are with you!

In the past two months, Hurricanes Helene and Milton left many of our WBEC Florida members with short-term and long-term challenges. Some simply lost power for a few hours, but others lost everything, including homes, business buildings and vehicles. Many of you watched your family members, friends, employees and suppliers suffer, putting hardship on you and your business. We are conducting this survey to understand where you are in the process and who is still suffering from long-term effects of the storms so we can determine how we can best help. Thank you for taking time to let us know how you're doing and what you're going through.

1.How were you and your company affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton?

Both my business and my home were damaged or affected.

My business was affected but my home was fine.

2.How long were you affected by the aftermath of the storms?

We are still dealing with the aftermath.

4.If you are still dealing with the aftermath, where are you in the process?

I have been working with agencies (such as FEMA and/or the SBA), but my issues are not yet resolved.

5.How are you personally handling the stress of the aftermath?

I am concerned for myself and my family members. It has been extremely tough.

I am most concerned about my employees and their well-being. They are taking this hard.

The stress was high at first, but it has subsided and now we are getting back to normal.

My only stress was during the storms, but today all is good.

The storms were not that stressful in our location or situation.
