The WCVB Channel 5 50 Years Fund was created in celebration of the station’s 50 years of broadcasting.
Our viewers nominated over 100 community-based organizations for consideration to be awarded capacity-building grants to support their work ensuring youth have the resources to achieve their educational and career goals.
Conceived and supported by WCVB employees, and powered by United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley, the 50 Years Fund is committed to making a substantial service impact in our region, continuing WCVB Channel 5’s legacy as a community resource making a positive change in people’s lives.
Our nominations are now closed, and the WCVB Channel 5 team will be reviewing submissions to select the five organizations we will partner with on this exciting initiative! We will announce our selections before the end of the year.
