Beginning in 2020, the Oregon Early Learning Division will administer a new grant program called the Equity Fund. The Equity Fund will support culturally-specific organizations and programs to serve additional young children and families across Oregon. For the purpose of this fund, programs within a federally recognized tribe in Oregon are eligible. The Equity Fund will provide grants for beginning or expanding kindergarten readiness and family support programs that reflect the unique culture, language, and lived experience of American Indian/Alaska Native children.

This survey will help the Early Learning Division understand how the nine federally recognized tribes in Oregon and culturally specific organizations deliver Early Learning services and how the Equity Fund can help grow the capacity of these programs to serve more children and families.

Responses to this survey are optional, for information purposes only; and will not affect future funding decisions. Only one response per federally recognized tribe is needed. Representatives from culturally specific organizations should refer to a different survey found here: Link to culturally specific organization survey.

If you have any questions about this survey, please contact Nakeshia Knight-Coyle at Nakeshia.knight-coyle@state.or.us. Thank you for your time and contribution to this effort.
