The Ohio Travel Industry Emerging Leader Award honors emerging travel leaders with less than 10 years of professional experience, with a minimum of five, in the industry. You may nominate ONE qualifying industry leader by submitting the following survey by the deadline of Sept. 4. Self nominations are accepted!

Indicate why you feel the individual above should be considered as a recipient of the Ohio Travel Industry Emerging Leader Award. Include examples of service to the travel industry, service to his or her community and service to the Ohio Travel Association and/or other travel membership organizations. Please explain how the nominee meets the five points of eligibility criteria:
  • Less than 10 years of professional experience in the travel industry with a minimum of five years in the Ohio travel industry
  • Contributions to the industry through the Ohio Travel Association or other regional or statewide travel organizations
  • Demonstrates commitment and passion for the industry
  • Completed some type of continuing education (ex: OTLA, CDME, etc.)
  • Been recognized for leadership and efforts beyond his or her job

An industry committee of the current and past OTA presidents will review all nominations and select up to two finalists. Finalists will be asked to create a short video. The winning nominee's video will be shown at the Ohio Conference on Travel during the award ceremony.
