Established by Brooke Grove Foundation and the Olney Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Olney-Sandy Spring ATHENA Award is presented in memory of Brooke Grove Founder Eleanor Howe Marston, R.N., to recognize and honor women who demonstrate a "dedication of self and a generosity of spirit" through professional and personal leadership and community service.

Award Criteria:
  • Nominees must be living at the time of their nomination.
  • Nominees must live, work or volunteer and make a significant impact on the Greater Olney-Sandy Spring area.
  • Nominations may be resubmitted after a one-year hiatus.
  • Committee members may not submit nominations or be nominated.
