Mercy Perinatal was launched in 2015 as a 3 pillar centre of excellence in clinical care, education and research in high risk pregnancy. As Co-Directors, Professor Sue Walker AO and Professor Stephen Tong lead a cross-disciplinary team of clinicians, educators and researchers to ensure best outcomes for pregnant women and their families.
Members of the Mercy Perinatal Lived Experience (MAPLE) Registry will provide valuable consumer/ lived experience into research and education. Individuals on the MAPLE Registry will provide insights into what really matters for the community in pregnancy care and how we best communicate this to patients. This may be through surveys, longer form questionnaires, reading and providing feedback on public facing materials, and for select participants partnering with our researchers to provide insights in discussion groups.
Individuals will fit the below criteria:
- Have lived experience of, or supported someone through: pre-, mid-, or post- pregnancy including pregnancy loss, complications or infertility.
- Have been provided care in a hospital or at home. This is not limited to previous patients of Mercy Perinatal.
- Located in Australia.
Through our registration database we will be able to identify and provide opt-in opportunities to assist with this valuable work.
