Early Years Disrupted & Reimagined: Connecting Data & Action

Register now!

Join us for a critical member call highlighting key research and the opportunity to have a voice in shaping early years action. We’ll explore how recent Early Development Instrument (EDI) trends reflect the realities many of you have shared from your communities, and then help shape collective action and support for BC’s families by contributing your insights to First Call’s renewed Early Childhood Development Framework for Action.

We’ll begin with Kate Buium from UBC’s Human Early Learning Partnership (HELP), sharing new data on the developmental health of kindergarten-aged children before and after the COVID-19 pandemic, and the social and economic influences shaping family life across BC.

Then, First Call: Child and Youth Advocacy Society will invite your input as they update their Early Childhood Development Framework for Action, a renewed vision describing what’s needed to best support young children and families. The updated Framework will include calls to action for government and the public to prioritize the early years and strengthen awareness of their importance.

Don’t miss this chance to hear up-to-date trends, share your experiences, and add your voice to provincial advocacy and sector representation.

Register now to be part of this important conversation on Tuesday, November 4th from 12-1:30pm.
