The Springfield Cultural Partnership is requesting applications from emerging artists to display in one of the 2019 Art Stop locations. The SCP is looking for artwork that evokes a sense of engagement and the community set against the backdrop of the urban landscape. These galleries will provide respite from the "hustle and bustle" of the daily metropolitan life.

● RFP for artwork released: January 11 ● RFP closed: February 25 (applications through USPS must be postmarked by February 20, 2019 to ensure they are received with time to prep for the review process). ● Art Stop Committee Review: March 4-13 ● Artist notification: March 21-22 ● Installation: April 22 - 25 to be coordinated by SCP with artist and gallery host ● Reception at Galleries: April 26, 2019 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm ● Galleries open to the public, April 26- August 30 Artists applying must be available both for installation of their work at the assigned gallery location and during the entire reception on April 26, 2019.
The purpose of Art Stop is to activate street level space with galleries to encourage walking and fresh artistic environment. We also hope to contribute to Springfield's creative economy.
