Who Is Eligible?
The Emerging Leader Award recognizes an individual, relatively new to the industry, who exceeded expectations by doing more than what was asked of them. Members of the CAEM Nominating Committee are not eligible to win this award.
What are the Requirements for Consideration?
To be considered, recipients must:
- Have held membership of CAEM for one to three years or a colleague from their company must have held membership of CAEM for one to three years.
- Have made an outstanding contribution and ‘gone above and beyond’ in their company, on at least one CAEM Committee, and/or as volunteers in the industry.
- Have 5 years or less of industry experience.
- Cannot be a member of the CAEM Board of Directors.
How is a Submission Made?
Nominations must be submitted by a CAEM member or the nominee may choose to self-nominate. Nominators may be either an Expo or Associate Member. The nomination must be accompanied by a written description detailing the nominee’s achievements and describing how the nominee’s impact has enhanced their company, CAEM or the industry. This description must be a minimum of 100 words. Submissions not meeting this requirement will not be considered.
Who Should Endorse this Nomination?
The nomination must be endorsed by two CAEM members from different companies. Members of the CAEM Nominating Committee cannot endorse nominations.
How is the Nomination Evaluated?
The CAEM Nominating Committee is responsible for reviewing and determining whether or not the nomination meets the criteria set out in the Nomination Information. All nominations will be held in the strictest of confidence.
Submissions not meeting all requirements will not be considered.
When is the Award Presented?
The award winners will be honoured at this year’s Annual Conference in Fredericton, NB.
What is the Deadline for Submission?
The fully completed nomination form and written description must be received at the CAEM office by Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025.
