The Inspire Series presents an evening with John Thornton, CEO of Astrobotic; a space robotics company recently awarded $79.5 million NASA contract to deliver payloads to the moon. The company is also developing advanced space robotics capabilities such as terrain relative navigation, mobile robotics for lunar surface operations, and reliable computing systems for mission-critical applications. The company’s lunar lander, Peregrine, delivers payloads to the Moon for companies, governments, universities, non-profits, and individuals – and now for South Fayette. Imagine and learn about the future of work in computer science, engineering, and robotics and learn about the many diverse career opportunities available in STEAM fields.
