The Virtual Kentucky English Learner Leadership Summit continues this winter for district and school leaders to connect, collaborate and learn from one another through a series of virtual learning sessions focused on supporting English Learners (ELs). The summit will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 1, and Tuesday, Dec. 8, with unique sessions offered in the mornings (10:00-11:30 a.m. ET / 9:00-10:30 a.m. CT) and afternoons (2:00-3:30 p.m. ET / 1:00-2:30 p.m. CT) each day.
Each session will explore a current problem of practice related to ELs and highlight innovative work taking place across Kentucky. Participants will hear directly from colleagues around the state as they share strategies, successes, and lessons learned from supporting ELs in their local contexts, including topics such as communicating meaningfully with multilingual parents, MTSS supports and instructional resources for English language development.
Attendees are welcome to join any sessions throughout the two-day virtual summit. Additional session details, including the agenda and virtual meeting links, will be shared with registered participants closer to the summit dates.
