Communicating soil science to youngsters

The aim of this questionnaire is to characterize learning activities targeting youngsters (up to 18 years old) in the field of soil science. We intend to: i) summarize the gathered information in a series of recommendations about best practices and challenges of this field of public activities, ii) provide an overview of the existing activities, and iii) identify which factors can support or hinder soil science communication activities in general. The questionnaire targets public engagement professionals in its broadest sense, including researchers, science communicators, NGOs, farmers, technicians and other actors promoting soil literacy.

If you have organized different activities, please, fill one survey for each type of activity, if possible. In case of repeated activities, fill the survey once referring to the “average” situation.

Free copy of the volumes “Minibeast Magic” (offered by the Royal Entomological Society - https://www.royensoc.co.uk/shop/publications/books/minibeast-magic/) for UK-based participants and the exhibition guide to "The thin skin of the earth" (offered by the Senckenberg Museum) for European countries will be sent to who completes the questionnaire.
