Your Experience with Breathing Support Devices (Ventilators)

What is this survey about?

This survey asks about your experience with respiratory and sleep support therapies such as positive airway pressure (PAP) machines or ventilators. These treatments help with breathing or sleep apnoea using air pressure delivered through a mask or tracheostomy.

Throughout this survey we will be using the broad name "ventilator" for all respiratory and sleep support devices such as CPAP (continuous PAP) or BiPAP (bilevel PAP) machines, noninvasive ventilation, home mechanical ventilation or devices that are commonly known as breathing machines, sleep apnea machines, bilevel therapy

Who is in charge of the survey?

The survey is part of the IMPORTANCE project, a clinical research initiative endorsed by the European Respiratory Society and supported by the European Lung Foundation.

What does participation involve?

Participation is voluntary and involves filling out an online questionnaire that will take around 15-20 minutes. You can withdraw at any time before submitting your answers.

Privacy and confidentiality

No personal data will be collected. Responses are anonymous, stored securely, and only accessible to the research team. Results may be published in scientific articles, without identifying any participant.

Risks and benefits

There are no risks or direct benefits, but your input will help improve care for patients using these therapies.
