Developing a Global Community of Emerging Scholars

The purpose of this survey is to provide young / emerging scholars that are interested in conducting research in the field of deafblindness, to join a developing forum / community of students / scientists from around the world.  The goal is to continue the momentum initiated during the 2018 / 2019 International Conference for Young Researcher in Deafblindness sponsored by The Deaf-Blind Support Foundation «Con-nection» (Moscow, Russia) in collaboration with Deafblind International (DbI).  Completing this survey will allow both conference attendees and other interested researchers to join the Global Network of (Emerging) Researchers.  Membership is free of charge and you are under no obligations other than access to a worldwide virtual community of young and emerging researchers with access to connections to seasoned scientists from around  the world .

DEFINITIONS / IMPORTANT MESSAGE (Please Read)

The Global Community of Emerging Scholars is an international group of colleagues who are engaged or interested in the field of deafblindness and have agreed to membership in this world-wide group.

Emerging Researchers include University Professors / Instructors, Students (undergraduates / graduate studies), classroom teachers, therapists, and other working with or on behalf of individuals who are deafblind.

IMPORTANT: This community is established with the assumption that research in this field is most appropriately developed and enhanced when individuals who are deafblind are included in the research process, as appropriate. In some instances, emerging researchers are individuals who are deafblind, however, members agree to make every effort to assure that people with deafblindness and when appropriate, families are available to participate in processes of validation of research objectives, design and analysis.

Question Title

* 6. If you are interested in participating in this Global Community of Emerging / Young Researchers, please provide us with the following contact information.  You are under no obligation, this is merely a contact list of individuals interested in research activities across the world.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this information and registration survey.  As soon as continued development in this Virtual Community has occurred, information will be shared with its members.   It is our hope to create a community / forum to connect researchers with others that are interested in shared research areas and to make connections to seasoned experts in the field.
