Student Leadership Appeal

You may complete this appeal form, along with your completed student leadership application, should ANY of the following apply:
-You are currently on probation at NU (full citizenship or provisional)
-You have a GPA below 2.5 (cumulative OR fall semester 2024)
-You have failed to pass the fall 2024 spiritual life credit requirement
-You are appealing a qualification requirement on a job application (specifically ASNU President and Vice President)

The Student Leadership Committee (Student Life and Campus Ministries staff) will review the appeal and notify you of the decision via the Student Leadership email. If your appeal is approved, it only allows you to go through the selection process, it is not a guarantee you will be hired as a student leader.

If your appeal is accepted and you are offered a student leadership position (on scholarship), you will be placed on leadership probation. During this time of probation, which includes spring semester 2025, you must:
-Remain in good standing with the university by complying with the Community Life Standards.
-Achieve a semester GPA of 2.5 or higher. You will remain on probation until your cumulative GPA reaches or exceeds 2.5. However, if you do not achieve a GPA of 2.5 or higher for any semester, including spring 2025, you will forfeit the student leadership position.
-Pass spiritual life credit while in student leadership, including spring 2025. If you do not pass your SLC requirement while in student leadership, including spring 2025, you may forfeit the student leadership positions.
-The above does not apply if you are ONLY appealing a qualification requirement.
