Help us shape the future of live music in Townsville

ABOUT TOWNSVILLE LIVE COLLECTIVE

Our Vision
A Townsville where live music connects people — where touring artists have a place to perform, local musicians have a platform to grow, and the community can experience great live music affordably and regularly.

Our Mission
To create a sustainable, grassroots live music platform in Townsville that supports independent touring artists, develops local musicians, and brings the community together through accessible and affordable live music experiences.

Who We Are
Townsville Live Collective (TLC) is a volunteer-run, ACNC-registered incorporated association based in South Townsville.

Formed in 2025 by a group of experienced local musicians and arts organisers, TLC was established to fill a real gap: independent touring artists and emerging local musicians were struggling to find suitable venues in Townsville, and the community was losing access to live music that was affordable, diverse, and welcoming to all.

TLC runs live music events at the South Townsville Bowls Club — a community venue that is family-friendly, accessible, and deliberately outside the commercial mainstream.

Events feature a mix of touring and local artists across a range of genres. Ticket prices are kept low ($20–30) so that live music is something everyone in the community can enjoy.

Since forming, TLC has delivered six concerts and a Christmas event, with audiences of up to 140 people. This survey is part of a strategic planning project funded by the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF).

Your responses will directly shape TLC's future direction and help make the case for investment in grassroots live music in Townsville. It takes approximately 4–5 minutes and is anonymous.
