FURS Survey for Current and Former Foster Youth and Juvenile Justice Youth |
Glenn County Health and Human Services is seeking your input as we develop and plan for implementing the Family Urgent Response System (FURS) hotline services and mobile response in the Spring of 2021.
FURS will include the following services:
A toll-free statewide hotline available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week staffed with caring counselors trained in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques for children and youth impacted by trauma. CDSS will be contracting with a community partner to manage the statewide hotline. The hotline staff will not be state or county staff.
If needed, County Mobile Response System and Stabilization Teams are also available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide in-home de-escalation, stabilization, conflict resolution, and support services and resources and ongoing support services beyond the initial mobile response. A caregiver, child, or youth can decline a warm handoff to mobile response if they feel they have received the support they needed over the phone through the statewide hotline.
Hotline and mobile response staff trained in working with children and families who have experienced trauma. The hotline and mobile response teams will not include law enforcement.
