A wide difference exists about parental leave and childcare facilities in Europe (https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/web/products-eurostat-news/-/ddn-20220504-2), making it difficult to generalise the impact of solely parenthood role on family-work conflict. In this context, this project, developed by the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine - NEXT Committee & by the Diversity & Inclusiveness Monitoring Group, seeks to explore how parenting and family dynamics are associated with the demands of intensive care work and to explore if parenthood can modify the relationship between intensive care work demands and work-family balance.
