Thank you for attending the January 12 meeting held by the Rehabilitation & Community Providers Association (RCPA) in partnership with BHECON (the Behavioral Health + Economics Network). The meeting brought together diverse stakeholders for a discussion about the potential opportunities and challenges faced in data gathering and reporting. The discussion of the day centered on providers’ excitement to tap data’s potential for improved patient care and organizational efficiencies, while acknowledging that reporting requirements can be burdensome. Additionally, providers expressed a desire to decrease duplicative quality reporting requirements and implement more meaningful quality indicators that would reflect outcome based metrics. The meeting concluded with an announcement from RCPA that they would convene a workgroup of providers to continue the conversation on how to successfully move the behavioral healthcare field from volume to value.
