Introduction
VolunteerNC Mission
The NC Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service promotes and facilitates service and volunteering to improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement in North Carolina.
The North Carolina Commission on Volunteerism & Community Service (VolunteerNC) is the oversight organization for national service in North Carolina. VolunteerNC supports AmeriCorps programs and encourages civic engagement to improve the quality of life in North Carolina communities. The Commission develops a three-year State Service Plan aimed at utilizing service and volunteerism as a solution to the most pressing needs facing North Carolina communities. This plan reflects the strategy of the North Carolina Commission on Volunteerism & Community Service with regard to the coordination of national service, connection of volunteer organizations, promotion of youth engagement, collaboration for disaster response and recovery, and fostering senior service opportunities. VolunteerNC is in the process of developing our State Service Plan for 2026-2028. This will detail our plan to support service and volunteerism in North Carolina. As part of our planning process, we are conducting this electronic survey and a series of focus group conversations.
Information collected via this survey will be shared in the aggregate to inform the development of the State Service Plan – individual responses will not be shared.
Please complete this survey by Friday, November 7. Estimated survey time is 15 minutes.
