Purpose: Substance Use Disorders (SUD), including Opioid Use Disorder (OUD), have a disproportionate impact on Indian Country, and can be treated at the primary care level. The 3 hour training provides an opportunity to engage in didactic sessions, present patient cases, receive treatment recommendations, obtain your MAT waiver and join a learning community to effectively integrate evidence-based opioid use disorder treatment with holistic, culturally appropriate care.

The free training co-hosted by Indian Country ECHO and the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board is being held virtually July 29th from 8:30am-11:30am PT. The training is being offered to effectively integrate Opioid Use Disorder and Substance Use Disorder treatment at the primary care level – with a follow up ECHO telehealth collaborative to continue learning, knowledge sharing and support as you start treating.

The training will be led by ECHO faculty members Dr. Danica Love Brown, MSW, CACIII, PhD, Dr. Jessica Gregg, MD, PhD, Dr. Ben Smith, MD, Debra Buffalo Boy and additional Indian Country SUD ECHO faculty.

Who should attend: Physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, nurses, behavioral health specialists, nurses, chemical dependency counselors, peer support specialists, medical assistants, or others interested in learning new skills to effectively integrate SUD and OUD treatment are invited to attend.
