We’re excited to invite you to the January 2026 Fire Family Strong Virtual Support Sessions designed specifically for firefighter couples, spouses and partners. With different topics offered each week, you can pick and choose which sessions to attend—each has its own registration link so you can tailor the experience to your needs. These sessions are 90 minutes long, with an optional 30 minute question and answer with the facilitator at the end. All sessions are facilitated expert clinicians who specialize in fire culture.

- Tools for Trauma Healing (Thursday, January 8th, 6:00 – 7:30pm PST)
Learn strategies to recognize, cope with, and support each other through the emotional impact of the job. Facilitated by Sara Watts, LMFT
- Strengthening Fire Couple Relationships (Tuesday January 13th, 6:00 – 7:30pm PST)
Practical tools to deepen communication, trust, and connection. Facilitated by Sara Watts, LMFT
- Parenting in a Fire Family (Tuesday January 20th, 6:00 – 7:30pm PST)
Guidance on supporting children while managing the unique rhythms of fire service life. Facilitated by Rachelle Zemlok, PsyD
- Shift Work to Home Life: Firefighter Couples (Tuesday January 27th, 6:00 – 7:30pm PST)
Tips and strategies to transition smoothly from the station to home life. Facilitated by Matt Mesker, former US Navy Seal
- Facing Infertility: Support for Fire Families (Wednesday January 28th, 6:00 – 7:30pm PST) – Reproductive health & fertility in the fire service. Facilitated by Sarah Flora-Wilson, LMFT
- Repairing Relationships: Divorce, Infidelity, and Moving Forward (Thursday January 15th, 6:00 – 7:30pm PST) – A guided workshop helping firefighter couples navigate the complex emotional and relational challenges of divorce, infidelity, and rebuilding trust. Facilitated by Rich & Yvonne Dutra-St.John

- Lunch & Learn: Retirement (Thursday January 8th, 12:00 – 1:00pm PST) - session for fire spouses to explore the unique challenges and opportunities of a firefighter’s retirement, from identity changes to new rhythms at home. Facilitated by Paul LeBaron
- Lunch & Learn: Self-Care for Fire Spouses (Wednesday January 14th, 12:00 – 1:00pm PST) – Take an hour to focus on your wellbeing. Facilitated by Sara Watts, LMFT
- Lunch & Learn: Postpartum Support (Wednesday January 21st, 12:00 – 1:00pm PST) – facilitated by Sara Watts, LMFT: Guidance and connection for new parents in the fire family. Facilitated by Sara Watts, LMFT
- Lunch & Learn: Recharge: Sleep Strategies for Fire Families (Wednesday January 28th, 12:00 – 1:00pm PST) – A practical session on how disrupted sleep cycles and shift work impact firefighters—and what families can do to support healthier rest. Facilitated by Matt Mesker, former US Navy Seal
- Coffee Hour (Thursday January 15th, 9:00am – 10:00am PST) – A casual space to share resources and build community. Facilitated by Fire Family Foundation program staff.
