Craft Beverage Industry in the Texoma Region
Grayson College has established a task force to complete market research to determine whether or not a co-op vineyard and winery concept would be beneficial to individuals or groups who are interested in establishing a vineyard or winery in Grayson County with the support and technical assistance from the TV Munson Viticulture and Enology Center at Grayson College. The premise might be that the College would partner to locate land in a public-private-partnership and facilitate the dedication of a certain amount of property to be sub-divided into appropriate sized lots which would be made available to qualified growers and/or winemakers. The lots might have some infrastructure (water piping, roads, etc.) in place depending on location. The grower and/or winemaker would be responsible for all the other costs related to establishing a vineyard and or winery. In addition to the lots, equipment may also be available that may be shared by all the growers (tractor, sprayer, crusher-de-stemmer, wine press, etc.).
The Task Force invites you to participate in this short survey for the purpose of determining your interest in becoming a tenant by obtaining a lot under a long term lease to establish a vineyard and or winery. All responses will remain confidential and will only be shared in the aggregate. All contact information will only be used for future contact regarding this project and will not be made public.
