Connecting Irish Towns for Vibrant, Healthier Spaces

Thank you for your interest in improving transport and cycling facilities in Kilkenny City.

This survey is asking Kilkenny residents (aged 16+) to share your views on travel and movement around Kilkenny city, the infrastructure changes you would like to see made, and how Covid-19 has changed your attitude to transport and mobility. It should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.

It is being conducted by Waterford Institute of Technology, as part of their research into transport in Irish cities and towns, in collaboration Kilkenny County Council, Kilkenny Leader Partnership, Kilkenny Recreation and Sports Partnership, Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce and Cartoon Saloon.

This survey is the first step of a larger initiative which will work to make Kilkenny more cycling-friendly for people of all ages and abilities, as well as trying to raise awareness among the local community of how beneficial cycling is, both from a health and enjoyment perspective, but also for the environment and the community as a whole.

The campaign will be launched in the coming weeks and your feedback will help to shape our plans for the city. The local community, from schoolchildren to business-owners, is at the heart of this initiative and we want to ensure that everyone’s voice is heard.

We will be following up on this survey in 12 months’ time and you will be asked if you would like to opt in to be contacted as part of this follow up.
