We Need Your Help To Guide and Improve Our Organization.
Do you want to be part of a strong and engaging movement? We need you now more than ever and encourage you to join our board of directors! Verity, Sonoma County’s rape crisis, trauma, and healing center, is looking for passionate people of all backgrounds to join our board of directors. We need compassionate members of our community to step up and help guide our agency as we continue to grow! We are looking for people of all backgrounds and with any level of experience to join our team.
The estimated time to complete this survey will be 11 minutes. There will be various types of questions and an opportunity to upload relevant documents at the end.
Qualifications:
Anyone can be a board member. Whether you are completely new to the realm of sexual violence or you know the intricacies of it all, we could use your insight and dedication.
We currently have experienced nonprofit professionals, dedicated members of law enforcement, and passionate businesspeople on our board. We are always looking for new members whose attributes and experiences would complement those of our current members.
Commitment
Members of Verity’s board of directors are expected to attend the monthly board meeting. The date and time of the meeting are dependent on members’ schedules. Currently the board meets one Tuesday morning a month. Board members are also required to make a financial contribution once a year; the amount doesn’t matter. Even $5/year helps us achieve our mission.
The overall mission of the Board of Directors is to improve and guide the agency while making sure that the agency is reaching all the corners of our community and truly serving everyone who needs us.
