Discernment Program Application
WELCOME! Thank you for considering our Druid Order. We are changing our format by always accepting new applicants. If you have applied and haven't heard back from us yet, we are still be considering you. You are automatically disqualified, if you are under 22, transgender, non-binary or an atheist, there are other orders we can direct you toward. Additionally, we don't instantly accept anyone. We charge nothing because we don't believe in profit for prophecy.
APPLICATION: This survey serves as an application for discernment to the "Druid Order of Blest Stone and Wood" which is part of "The Druid Circle", "Druid University", "Druid Living Media". This is not an application to 'join' our religious order as your participation will come after you complete your discernment period if, and only if, we choose to accept you and you choose to accept us. The purpose is to accept you into our discernment process.
DISCERNMENT: This application is only the starting point for us to get to know each other better. The discernment process runs for four (4) years plus (1) year. The first half of the first two years is called the Postulancy. The second first two years is called the Aspirancy. The last year is called the Initiation. After discernment you will receive instructions on the next steps.
TERMS: While you are a "Postulant", you are finding you place among the most Holy Ancient Druids. While you are an "Aspirant" you are finding your place among our Druids. While you are an "Initiate" you seriously consider if our Religious Order is right for you. During these (5) years, you are an "Acolyte", regardless of your experience, as it abides by the "three chief rules" of the founder, Drd. Nioclás Deaglán, OCAB. These rules are... 1. Everyone works in the Order. 2. Nothing is free in the Order. 3. All start at the bottom in the Order.
ABOUT: Please answer the below questions as instructed to the best of your ability, and with deeper thought for the open ended questions. Once you have completed this application, and we receive it, then together we can begin to discern if our the Order is a right fit for you and if you are a right fit for us. Until we get back to you continue to study on your own. We use this waiting period to test the sincerity of your interest. To move forward, you must complete assignments, called "Orders" given to you. Please take your time filling this application out. We will never take money or dues. Whatever you are responsible for, books, ritual gear, etc., you can get on your own. ID cards will come after initiation.
