3. Do you pre-qualify for the Bronze division? You must meet all of the below criteria in order to qualify:

Our ensemble attended FC17 as a Bronze division ensemble

Our ensemble will have the same director at FC19 that they had at FC17

More than 50% of our ensemble personnel remains the same

We were not asked to re-audition based on feedback from the 2017 Bronze Conductor

If no (or you did not meet all three criteria), please submit your 2 videos online using these instructions NO LATER THAN January 15, 2019:

At www.youtube.com, click on the "Create a video or post" icon in the upper right corner.
Select “Upload Video”
Choose either “Public” or “Unlisted” from the privacy drop-down box.
Select the movie file to upload.

6. As a Director of an Area 1 Bronze Festival Choir, I will ensure that our ensemble:

Has learned the music beyond simply the notes – knowing where the musical line is and seeing/hearing the overall picture.

Arrives at Festival having fully learned the repertoire at the published tempos.

Has resolved all bell sharing and trouble spots prior to the start of the festival.

Understands that the overall musical result is more important than the individual.

Has good rehearsal etiquette, i.e. attends all rehearsals*, is prompt & cheerful, and is respectful of the conductor and fellow ringers by limiting talking during the transition times between passages, and or songs.

Performs with confidence under pressure.

*Ringers who are also teaching classes may be excused from rehearsals that conflict with their teaching commitments, provided they notify the conductor in advance.
